This Wednesday February 17 is ASH WEDNESDAY. Due to COVID, the Bishop sent a Directive that priests should administer Ashes by sprinkling them on the crown of the head (The Tonsure), rather than on the forehead, for reasons of public safety. This is the way we will distribuite them at Immaculate Conception. Receiving Ashes on the crown of the head has been an option in the Church for many years, even before the Second Vatican Council. Italians in Italy, for example, have always received Ashes this way, by them being sprinkled on their head. The Pandemic has cause many changes, please understand why His Excellency, Bishop Tobin, has directed parishes to administer ashes in this way. Thank you for your understanding. Masses are at 8:00AM, 12:10PM, and 7:00PM

Based on the student response (2 grades had zero sign-ups), it appears now is not a good time to for this so Father had decided not to move this project forward. May God bless our parish and especially our children during this challenging time!
